The best laid plans of men with mice…

When the original planning for 2006 was done in late 2005, we had targetted an early summer launch for a redesigned RedFlagDeals.com.  Well here we are in September. :)

We’re in the home stretch now though, so my posting will continue to be in short supply for the next couple of weeks.

If I get a chance, I’ll do a post-redesign analysis.

BarCampBBQ New Date – September 24 – Dufferin Grove Park

The BarCampBBQ that was washed out during BarCampEarthToronto has been rescheduled for 11 AM on September 24 at Dufferin Grove Park in Toronto.  We’ll have free food and drinks (we have a keg :) ) and you can sign up on the Wiki:

This event is really about the extended development community: your family and significant others who put up with you when you’re pulling all nighters and living on a pizza diet.  So bring everyone out!  Should be lots of fun.

News and Notes – Sept. 5

Just a couple of notes from the Toronto scene:

Chickadvisor.com Launches

Friends of ours, Alex and Ali de Bold, launched Chickadvisor.com this weekend.  Congrats!

CA is a female targeted social network/social shopping site where women can share recommendations on products, services, restaurants and more.  Currently the site is focusing on Toronto, but they plan to expand beyond TO in the not so distant future.

Alex has been a long time friend and advisor and CA has been in the works for quite some time, so it’s great to see it open up to the public.  So tell your friends, girlfriends, wives, mothers, sisters and grandmothers and let’s make this go viral!  :)
